TIPS FROM OUTSIDE OF VENTURA COUNTY.  Please do not call the hot line.  Submit via the web by clicking on "WebTips" at the top right.  You have a choice of either English or Spanish format.  Click on "Tip Follow-up" just below "Welcome" to provide additional information to us or to read  messages we've left for you, such as reward collection instructions. Text messages are also acceptable from out of area.

TIP STATUS.  If your tip was via 1-800-222-TIPS, please call 1-805-388-5130 any Monday between 8 AM and 12 Noon with your tip number to determine if a reward was authorized.  Wait 30 days after submitting the tip to call.  If your tip was via the web or text message, we'll use the same mode to notify you if a reward was authorized or to follow up with any questions we might have.  When communicating 2-way via the web or text message, your anonymity will not be compromised.

Ventura County Crime Stoppers encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime by overcoming the two key elements that inhibit community involvement: fear and apathy.  Seldom are crimes solved without information from members of the Community who have witnessed a crime or have information to share with Law Enforcement. 

Crime Stoppers provides a telephone number, TipSoft WebTips and TipSoft SMS (texting)  to encourage citizens in the community to volunteer vital information helpful to law enforcement agencies to fight against crime.

Callers can remain anonymous and are eligible to receive a cash reward if the information provided leads to an arrest or grand jury indictment of a felony offender.

Crime Stoppers relies on volunteer Directors and tax deductible contributions from the public in order to administer the program and to provide funds for payment of Tips.
